Frequently Asked Questions

Are Fudge Professional products tested on animals?

We can confirm that the FUDGE brand is against animal testing: we do not conduct animal testing on our products or ingredients, nor do we ask anyone to test them on animals on our behalf. The only testing we do is with a panel of volunteers in clinical tests and user trials to assess the safety of our finished products.

We can assure you that Fudge and all of our manufacturers have never tested our products on animals. Fudge is listed on PETA’s ‘Companies That Don’t Test on Animals’ list and we state ‘Against Animal Testing’ on our packaging.

Is Fudge available in the US?

Unfortunately we do not have a distributor/stockist for Fudge in the USA or Canada and we are unable to ship our products from the UK. You may wish to try websites such as and who stock Fudge products and can ship internationally.

We can’t wait to bring Fudge to the USA and we’re working behind the scenes to get it to you very soon.

I want to try Paintbox for the first time, how can I achieve the best results?

Paintbox needs to be applied to pre-lightened hair, we would advise this to be done professionally. Once you have achieved a light base, you can then apply the colour of your choice.

How long will the Paintbox colours last for?

We would say anything from 2 – 30 shampoos! This is all dependent on the condition and porosity of the hair and also whether a pastel colour has been used, which will very quickly wash out opposed to an intense primary colour that will last much longer.

I’ve never used Fudge colour before, is there anything I should be aware of before I do?

We would always recommend having a skin test before applying Fudge Professional Headpaint colour.

How often should I use the Clean Blonde Shampoo?

For a strong Clean Blonde look, we would recommend once a week or every 4-5 washes should be enough to keep the hair looking a clean blonde. If it used too often it can result in slightly grey tones. We would recommend using the Clean Blonde Violet Tri-Blo in-between washes to maintain a Clean Blonde look.

I have purchased a faulty product, how can I exchange this?

We advise our consumers that any faulty product should be returned back to the place of purchase.

Do you provide samples of your products?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide samples. To be the first to hear about upcoming promotions and sampling opportunities, sign up to our newsletter.
